About Pebble Theatre

Pebble Theatre is an independent international theatre company founded by Selina Hsung-Chih Tseng and Lalia Bron. The company was established to create work that transcends geographical boundaries and reflects diverse cultural perspectives.

Selina and Lalia, founders of Pebble Theatre, in a playful portrait against a deep blue wall.

Our creative process begins as an investigation between bodies, shape, objects, words and memory. Through a collaborative process we explore different meanings these carry across cultural backgrounds and contexts. Each project begins in its own way. It might grow from a personal experience, a found object or a written archive, and we are always open to what the world around us offers.

Community engagement is part of the company's practice. Alongside performance-making, we run workshops that expand access to theatre and offer diverse entry points into artistic creation. Our projects often involve collaboration with local communities, integrating participation into both process and performance.

Looking ahead, Pebble Theatre aims to tour and present work across multiple countries, returning projects to the cultural contexts that have shaped them while building new international partnerships. We view theatre not only as an artistic practice, but as a platform for connection, dialogue and collective responsibility.
